I'm a German IT specialist working in the financial industry in Frankfurt, Germany. 45 years old, former Basketball pro in Germany, currently enjoy watching Dirk Nowitzki playing in Dallas.
I have been interested in astrophysics, astronomy and science fiction for all my life, I even wanted to study it when leaving high school, but I ended up with economics and information technology (which wasn't a bad choice neither).
I love music, sport and traveling. Like big cities and savoir vivre. |

I closely follow the discussion about probability of extraterrestrial life in the scientific newspapers. I don't see any danger of such a discovery, hence no danger in installing a beacon to give others the chance to discover us (if they haven't done so yet).
Anyhow, the probability to discover life that is at least somehow similar to humans is low, IMHO.
I like the idea of Seti a lot (besides having a cool screen saver). |
