Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm doing this for my boyfriend. He doesn't really like computers, but his hobby is everything that has to do with extraterristrial things (Ufos, aliens, conspiracy theories, you know what I mean...). He read about this program in a local newspaper and was totally excited about it, so I decided to install it on my computer.

1. HIM: oh yes! Through decission of majority or/and the EBE's. Danger: abuse of power; advantage: knowledge
ME: Sure, the univers is to big and there is no chance in hell that we are alone. For the rest of the question think Stargate SG1... *grins*

2. HIM: we're sending a "signal" since there is live on Earth
informations: none, all necessary informations are included in the above mentioned "signal"

ME: We should take the risk of transmitting a beacon, but we shouldn't give too much informations about ourselfs away. I'm sure not every living thing out there is a good guy...

3. HIM: unnecessary, too expensive, almost no chance for success (but he nontheless wants me to run the program... (man!) *grins*)

ME: to make my boyfriend happy! Ain't I sweet?! *grins* The graphics of the program are a nice distraction... *g*
