Profile: Ricardo's Uncle

Personal background
I'm a retired high school teacher and an avid urban hiker and cyclist.

I love the desert, enjoy taking along a telescope, and look forward to the day when I can leave the Los Angeles area and find clear skies with abundant stars.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
What is the more interesting outcome? That we are utterly alone among the billions of stars and planets? Or that we are part of a wide spectrum of life that ranges from primitive to advanced and inhabits every corner of the universe?

I find either case interesting.
