| While the universe is enormous, random chance is not enough, even given that much "room", to guarantee that there is organic life (let alone "intelligent" organic life) out there. I tend to agree with some of the conclusions of Rare Earth: Why Complex Life is Uncommon in the Universe by Peter Ward and Don Brownlee. |
