Howdy!
My name is Jeff, and I'm an alcoholic. Err... whoops, wrong profile.
I mean, my name is Jeff, and I'm a dedicated UNIX (mainly *BSD) and Mac geek (as well as Ars Technica devotee - go John Siracusa!).
My SETI@Home machine is a PowerMac G4 (Digital Audio) 733 MHz with SuperDrive. Although it's usually in active use for my work, I'm happy that it's able to devote time to SETI. I figure that since Jeff Goldblum used a Mac PowerBook in "Independence Day" to beat aliens [through his infectiously bad C code?], my Mac desktop should at least be working on the effort as well.
