I'm a retired Canadian Air Traffic Controller and live in rural Nova Scotia, Canada with my wife of 33 years and two goofy Golden Retrievers.
We have a son-in-law who is a Captain in the Canadian Army and we "Support Our Soldiers" !!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have been an off-and-on again user of SETI@home for quite a number of years and the speculation of being the one to discover a valid signal is what keeps bringing me back to the program. I originally had Seti@home installed on an old PC but it was SLOW!! When I switched to the Mac, I had real trouble connecting to get work units downloaded, and finally gave up. I now have the newest version of BOINC installed on my new Intel iMac and it is now blazingly fast.
