Profile: James Gregoire

Personal background
I am from Bend, Oregon. I remember long "sleep outside" nights on the farm, sleeping out in the fields. My brother and I would stare up, trying so hard to impress each other with facts of the enormity of space. Then, later, we would become silent and just stare up. We always talked about ET (Don't tell my brother, but I cried during the movie at the theater), and whether or not somethig is really out in space. We also talked about what would really happen if someone found something. We would always fall alseep to the thoughts of new civillizations and new discoveries. I spent 4 summers out in that field with my brother. I really think that it is some of my fondest memories as a child. Even though I'm 30 years old now, I still stare up there and let the ole imagination go.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am new to this project. If my little PC can actually make a difference in the search, count me in. If something is found, I think I will really be able to impress the little brother. No matter the skeptic arugment, I will always believe in intelligent life in space. People have always said if something is discovered, it will change the way we view our own planet. I feel strongly about this point, and until we find it, we are just suriving in out own "little puddle".
