I am a 35 (2005) database architect who constantly struggles to provide business users information that makes sense in running their business. Since I am constantly amazed at other’s inability to understand basic principals of running a profitable business, this can be a mighty struggle.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI in the belief that there is NO WAY humans are the most intelligent life forms in the entire galaxy. We cannot even solve simple issues without resorting to violence and destructive behavior. We let petty things stand in the way of great progress. We want to destroy everything that people spend a lifetime to build (Viruses, Hackers, etc).
Somewhere there is a race that realizes all of this is counterproductive and has found a better solution. I just hope that they will keep me as a favored pet.
