Profile: Raging @ Work

Personal background
I'm Elmer Sundermeijer and i'm from the Netherlands (the small country next to Germany). I live in a place called Oud-Beijerland and it's right next to Rotterdam. I'm 19 years old and i'm still going to school, where I'm doing a study in computers. My hobbies are computergames, computers themselves, jiu-jitsu (a fighting-sport), and a lot more. My father owns a computershop called Sunteam Computer Service B.V. where I frequently do some work after school.
In the weekends I usualy go to my favorite music-cafe called Hakuna.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think extraterrestrial life has to exist, because there are so many planets in the universe and it seems strange to me if only one planet of theme can contain life.
I think there arn't many other life forms in the universe, so I think it's very difficult to find them.
Because we still aren't able to travel trough the universe very fast, I think we won't find them very soon, unless they come to find us (if they do have the technology).
But I think Seti is a good way to do it for now, and we'll just have to see what comes in the future.
I think there are three possibilities if we do find extraterrestrial life.
One is that they are agressive beings and then it will be dangerous becouse they will probably have more and better technology, if they are able to reach us.
Two is that they are friendly, but arn't willing to share any technologie, and then there arn't many benefits for us.
Three is that they are friendly and are willing to help us in many different ways.
I don't think we should send a beacon for others, because it might attrackt agressive beings and/or might not be understood the right way.
I run SETI@home because I have interrest in everything that has to do with extraterrestrial life and because it's a nice way too fill up the time when my computer isn't being used.
