Profile: Charles D Holifield

Personal background
I'm a sophomore at Hinds Community in Raymond, Mississippi. I plan on studying mechanical engineering at Mississippi State University. For the past four summers I've been a member of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps of Canton, Ohio. I spend most of my spare working on my car, a '67 VW Beetle that's almost always poised to break down.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The main reason I run SETI@home is my admiration of the concept. I doubt anything will every come as a direct reult of the work, but it's still impressive and inspiring. A massive project spread to millions of volunteers, making use of idle computer power, it really is an amazing thing that's happening.
