Profile: Frank La Fontaine

Personal background
An Australian, retired for eight years. Hobbies include writing programs which I present as freeware on my website http://users.bigpond.net.au/Revelator. I also compose classical-style music for my own amusement, although several pieces have been broadcast over radio.

I ponder many things and wonder if any intelligent extraterrestrial would be silly enough to flag its existence. Still, they may slip up, and we may fluke a brief burst of evidence that other technologically-capable creatures do exist within range of our receivers. However, there must be multi-billion parameters to be satisfied before a lucky/unlucky contact is made. It is possible that futuristic technologies, including radio-based systems, need scan substantial portions of the known universe before a scientific conclusion can be drawn.
