I am a 39 year old electrician with the most wonderful wife in the world and 5 beautiful children. I've always been interested in the exploration of space (the Apollo missions really fascinated me as a child). I like to make stop motion animation movies but rarely find the time. I'm also a big fan of ReBoot, the first totally computer generated cartoon. I've included a picture of my family at Christmas 2001.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am certain that extraterrestrial life exists. There are an infinite number of possibilities why we would benefit or be at risk discovering ETI. Transmitting a beacon would be much too costly as it would have to be extremely powerful to reach another solar system. I run Seti@home on my computer because I enjoy being part of the largest computing project ever put forth by man. I can only hope that we recognize an alien signal when we receive it.
