Profile: Frazz

Personal background
I'm a 35 year old father of three from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
Until recently I was employed by Australia's largest telco, but lost interest in the daily grind and am now searching for gainful and intersting employment. Any offers?
I currently spend my days net-surfing (mostly for jobs!!), upsetting my wife's daily routine and marvelling at the speed that my kids are growing up.
I keep fit by playing field hockey and getting out of bed.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that, considering the vastness of the universe, it would be impossible for life to NOT exist elsewhere. If we can keep our fingers off the BIG RED BUTTON, and stop fouling our own nest then we will discover ET when we move beyond our region of space (the next 200 to 500 years?) The discovery of extraterrestrial life will probably lead to a significant change in humanity - we're no longer alone! Time will tell whether the result will have a positive or negative effect.
We are sending signals out right now. What the hell will ET think when they see "World's Scariest Police Chases" - I wouldn't wanna come here.
I'm running Seti@home because I think that this is an important project that should be supported by as many people as possible and, as long as my PC don't crash, why not utilise it's full potential?
