I am based in Auckland, New Zealand and support the "seti@home" program.
I am also co-founder of a group called "Middle-earth SETI@home Group",
and welcome contact from friends and fellow New Zealanders who may wish

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
With the vastness of Space it would be arrogant of us "Earth"
based residents to think we are the sole civilisation or
planet which has any form of "Life". I support the "search
for extraterrestrial intelligence" for possible signals of
any sort. I do think that it justifies on-going funding to
support this search.
I also support other projects that are both "Multi-national"
and "affordable" and for the benefit of all mankind.
These include my support for the current "International
Space Station" as well as the "Hubble Space Telescope" and
any of their successors.
I would also extend support for future interplanetary space
probes and manned space exploration, as well as renewed
exploration of our own moon with possibly a long term
(multi-national) scientific colony based there.
