I'm a newly-made 20 year old that is looking for my life in which to live.
I first started useing seti@home when I had a pentium 2 233Mhtz... it took a good couple days to do one work unit! Now this pentium 4 1.8Ghtz can do one in just four hours...
Just what is an alpha processor (setiathome.berkeley.edu/stats/cpus.html), and why can it do a work unit in an hour? More importantly, why don't I have one?
