Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
thinking about probabilities to be a member of real unversal citizens was the driver for me to join this program. When it gets dark and I look into the sky I am always feeling a deep respect for the beauty and magnitude of the universe. You can look at it, you can play with dimensions like mparsec but you can't really imagine. Is the universe open? Whats about dark matter, dark energy and the many mysteries to discover. There must be a link between Einstein and Planck and it is very difficult and highly sophisticated but it is working. Just look up. Also thinking about the antroplogic principles makes me wonder. Why is it this way and so many fundamentals has to be that way that I am in a position to think. Whats behind, before the big bang? Is the universe open? Are there universes in parallel? Is everything a 10-dimensional string?

Many white spots in the sky are surrounded by planets and I strongly beliefe the power of life took place in some of them.
I also think something like beings being able to scan the sky and send electomagnetic waves is very rare. We are in that position since some decades and I don't know how long. Maybe only a glimpse to get noticed

but wow what if...
