Personal background
I am a senior software manager for Northrup Grumman Information Technologies in Orlando, FL. I work on the Unit comonent of the JSIMS Land DA project.
This project is an upgrade to the Army's current warfighting simulation system (CBS).
I live in Winter Park, FL where I reside in an apartment with my two cats, Fred and Jewel. I am unmarried. I drive a 2000 Toyota Solara.

My current computing platform is based on a Soyo P4S645DX motherboard with 533Mhz FSB, 2.53Ghz Pentium 4, 1.5GB DDR3100 DRAM, VisionTek xTasy Ti4600 card with 128MB, HP L1720 LCD screen, Lian Li modded case and 300GB storage including a RAID with the OS residing on an 18GB Seagate 15,000RPM SCSI 3 card attached to an Adaptec 39120 U320 controller. My other computer is a 1.9Ghz P4 on an Asus P4B board...it has a Maxtor 40GB drive, Visiontek MX440 video card, and 2GB SDRAM...I use this PC to test things, such as Lindows, Linux configurations and other experimental stuff. I run Folding@Home AND SETI@home on this PC too whenever it is turned on.

I only run SETI as a screensaver and not all the time which accounts for my low CPU scores.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I think Earth has been visited by ET life since the dawn of mankind.
2. Humans should probably transmit a beacon to warn extra terrestrials of the dangers of visiting Earth. Seriously, a beacon should be sent which includes information about our scientific discoveries, the progress we have made through history and some sample data about our various cultures & religious beliefs.
3. I use SETI@Home mainly out of curiousity and the excitenent that comes from dealing with the unknown. I would very much like to at least know which galaxy houses ET life.

I have seen a UFO and I do believe in the existance of UFOs. I am intrigued by the Borderland sciences.
