Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
--Do I think Extraterrestrial life exists-- I can not be sure if Intelligent life exists out there. But I am sure that we will one day find out. Intelligent or not.

--Should humans transmit a beacon-- I can not argue with this...We have already done it so many times in the pass. We have a space prope with a map to Earth using nearby pulsars, we send out TV, radio, microwave, ext... waves everyday that go out into space. We even send high power directional braudcasts of people saying short things like "Hello, From Earth." The fact is -we want to be heard-

--Why do I run SETI@home-- I run SETI@Home because I think it is a great idea. The use of millions of computers uniting for a common goal. It is kind of poetic if you think about it. Not only that, just think about the prossesing power and all the Millions of Gigabytes of data those computers have...mind bending.
