Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe in extraterrestrial life - the universe is too big for us to be an "accident" I think.
If life would be discovered out there that would be the revolution of the past few centuries in my opinion. It's hard to say what will happen if life is actually found.
Another thing is - what if we are looking for something that we don't even know?? This is very philosophical - but just think about it - everything we know is earthy - what if there is life on another planet somewhere in the universe - but unrecognizable for us because we simply don't know "it"? Very tricky question - something for the philosophy guys... :-)
Anyhow I kind of hope that life will get discovered in this life - it would be extremely exciting!
