Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that there is other intelligent life in the universe, why not? What I mean by this is that we consider ourselves intelligent, and look what we do to each other (War, Drugs, Murder, Rape, Theft and dozens of other things that will contribute to the extinction of the human species) and we call this intelligent? Not too brilliant if you ask me.

May be we can learn something in the way of social interaction (how to treat one another), before we kill E.T., when and if we find them (or they find us!).
