Profile: Michael_Artime

Personal background
I was born in Aviles, the third city in importance of my region, the rainy Asturias, which is located on the very north coast of Spain. You should come here to see not all the country is dry and sunny, actually we look more like Eire or Scotland than like mediterranean Spain.

Age, well I'm 31 but this is not a thing to be proud of it, I mean years pass one after another, and my only merit is to keep myself alive and to age with good humor.

Hobbies... well I'd like to remain quiet under the sun, just like a lizard, bronzing my pale skin. Unfortunately, in Asturias this just happen a couple of days per year. For the other 363 days of the year, social gathering with the friends is one of my favourite occupations. I also love reading science fiction books, watching Discovery Channel and listening any Dire's Straits album.

I'm really happy now because my wife and I have been parents for the first time. Our daughter Carmen arrived at Earth last August the 16th, 2002. I'm a computer technic and programmer, however I'm working as Customs Agent.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
10 Good Reasons to become a Seti@home cumunity member:
1 - You could be, at last, like Elliot in Spielberg's movie E.T. (Drew Barrymore is not included, unluckily)
2 - You think Aliens may help us to find intelligence right here, down in the blue planet.
3 - You want to show Denis Tito you can be abduced for free and go to a far galaxy without NASA preparation.
4 - You are tired of your old car and dreamed of a new brand UFO.
5 - You want to send your mother-in-law to look for the Saturn monolith.
6 - You are an ambitious politician and want to found the I.C.I.B (interstellar community of intelligent beings), to get a good position and have more people at your command.
7 - Earth no longer seems to you, sufficiently sophisticated and cosmopolitan.
8 - You would like to contemplate from the space how is the Earth seen without you.
9 - You want to met different creatures, zoofilia no longer satisfies you.
10 - Barbecues are faster and cheaper, close to the sun.
