Personal background
hi, i'm bernhard from austria. i'm 26 years old now and at the moment i'm finishing my studies of chemistry. after that i'll start studying informatics. i'll also found a firm dealing with computer hard- and software.
i'm donating idle time since i first heard of seti. in the beginning, i just did some packets a month, but by now i've reached nearly 2 packets a day. i employed a server in my network having not too much to do but being on all time. so keep it busy *g*
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.) i'm quite sure... but will we ever get to see them? ever thought about propabilities???

2.) of course. that simply doubles the propability, i guess *g*
but we ARE transmitting, but not any reasonable contents yet.
perhaps put something in to declare us intelligent???

3.) because i'm fascinated by the idea of the project and therefore want to be part of it! even if it does not succeed in finding extraterrestrial life, it at least showed, what a big community (of computers or whatever else) is likely to perform (think of the CPU-Time, Flops, ...)

My suggestion: Keep it on going, You're doing a great job... :-)
