Profile: Herald

Personal background
hello everybody,
my name is herald, i was born on april the 5th in northwest belgium.
a country famous for his alluring chocolate, tasty waffels and sometimes dumb acting politicians :-))
well-known are city's like brussels (capitol of europe), bruges and ghent.
lots of tourists from around the world enjoy visiting these beautiful places.
i am a porter at a appartmentblock giving me much time to explore and enjoy the internet.
needless to say, surfing the net is a big hobby of mine.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
*Do i think extraterrestrial life exists?
yes, undoubtedly.
having seen possible proof (twice, i am a lucky guy :-) is making me
even more convinced.

*when and how will humans discover it?
if you ask me, i think whe already did
that is, some people now about them, but deliberately prefer not to make this
public.

*What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
trough SETI@HOME shocking but bareble i think.
because the signal will likely come from deep space,
sufficiently far away for people to feel safe(r).
seeing it in front of them, mindblowing and catastrophic. lot's of people
say there are ready for it but deep inside they are shivering like hell.

*Why do i run SETI@home?
*views?
*suggestions?

i am running SETI@HOME to offer people the chance (how little it may be)
nowing if there is something out there or not, a privilege taken away from us.
wil there be found a signal? verry unlikely i guess but worth trying
however.
regarding the suggestions question. not really, you guy's or doing a great
job.
thumbs up :-)
