Personal background
I am male, 31 years, event manager in saarbruecken, germany. The first time I heard about SETI was in the U.S. I was studying communications in Houston, Texas and because SETI was a cool thing to me, I installed on every computer I could get my hands on in the university the STI@home ... it was a real funny and good thing, and now that I am back in Germany, my dedicated my offoce and private computer to work for SETI!!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there must be somehow and somewhere another intelligent being ... or are we still so selfish to think we are the best and only ones in the universe??!!

And maybe they have already discovered us - but they see that we are right now not capabel of thinking of them in a friendly way.

Anyhow, our technologie is not yet good enough for the exploration of the universe in a way that we could travel around like Capt. Kirk ...

Otherwise, I think we should not send a beacon for others to find, because of the simple fact, that the majority of the humans would not be very happy about other intelligent beings ...

I run SETI because I think it is our obligation to watch and search for the extraterrestrial intelligence that might be out there ... but for the human egoism it is important to find them first, not to being found by some gigantic spaceship parking on the White House ...

So, let's find them all ...
