Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe that extraterrestrial life exits. It just fits. It could be a case of man creating God in it's own image, but if you look at what humans do to animals every day, it's feasable.

For instance, we track animals, sedate them, test them, then tag them. If ET considers man a lesser life form, they'd to the same to us I bet, in order to learn more about our habits and such. (Sounds like a X file to me! :))

I feel that humans will discover ET when they feel we deserve it., or handling it. I mean searching the skies is OUR best bet, but you never know. I'm going to pitch in as much as I can. But like they say, be careful what you wish for.

I don't think we need a beacon since I feel ET knows we are here already. At any rate, as long as they have a sense of entertainment, out TV shows are beacons enough.

I run SETI@home because you guys need all the help you can get. Of course my wife hates my computer being on when I'm not "using it" but I'll do what I can. I have both my desktop and laptop working on it. I don't expect to be "member of the month" or anything like that, but I'll do what I can

My pic was taken on Lake Ashi near the base of Mt. Fuji, Japan.. that's where I'm currently stationed.
