Hi there, I am Jarno, 21 years old and i have been away for a long time.
I did not have internet for a while, almost 3 years. So that is why i have no sendings so far, i have now ADSL and i keep it on for a several nights. Maybe i get something usefull for everyone.
I am now busy with making websites, game expantions, mIRC scripting and LEGO.
Yes, LEGO. I was twice 4th in Dutch championchips (:S how do i write that :S) and i am trying to get back in the race with more LEGO then i had.
I don't have anywork or school, so i have to work with the things i have at my new home (i life on my own sins 1 year ).
You probably noticed that i'm not good in English, sorry for that. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Yes, i believe extraterrestrial life exists. But i think also they have been on this planet for a long time, the humans just havn't discovered them yet. But i think they will soon enough. The positive things are that we could get more/newer technologie and we could find friendly extraterrestrial life, the negative side to it is that they can be really bad. Also a bad thing is that humans won't stop with fighting, so new weapons are born and that makes a power struggel for who gets the weapon and who not and so it makes war.
2. A transmitter beacon is a very good idea, maybe someone finds it and contacts us. We won't know if we don't try it. If you didn't shoot, you always miss. And maybe you won't get a second change. About the information, somekind of who we are where we are and if they want to contact us. I don't know much to say about this :s
3. I run SETI@home because of many things, i like to explore space and this might be the only way for this life-time to do so. Than again, i would not get any change to get in a rocket and go to space or the moon. Just becouse i don't have the money and i don't have any hope i will later on. Also i don't want me PC to get lasy, i bought it so i could work, also that it could work on this. My views about the project is that it is a very good one, the US goverment won't co-operate and covers up far to much. So this is a good way to find out who is up there. I think that the US goverment knows that extraterrestrial life is out there and tries to cover it up as good as they can.
A suggestion? Hmmm, let me get back on that one. :) |
