| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because I thought it was very interesting when I first signed up several years ago. The scientific effort behind the computations was staggering, so I figured why not use my computer for something scientific rather than just waste electricity.
I believe that there must be life elsewhere in the universe, and it could be beneficial for us to make contact with them and share knowledge. I'm certain that there is at least non-intelligent life elsewhere, perhaps even in our galaxy. |
