Personal background
From Europe, I have studied and travelled widely. Presently, I am 30 years old. I am of average build and healthy. I find computing and the internet extremely useful for communicating with peers and being involved in projects. I occupy my time by writing and exchanging primarily on the internet about astrophysics (which I have studied in major universities) and many other subjects. For example, I think about socio-political and spiritual themes. Modern society is very technological but I would like it to function in a healthy way. I comprehend several languages: French, English, Italian, etc.
My interests include music (listening and playing), science fiction, history, chess, sports, music, meditation, cooking, fashion, DIY, photography, volunteer work.
On the personal front I am fairly reserved and cautious. In other words I have an independent personality. I am honest!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1 I got physically involved within the past year
2 I like to use my good computer's resources. The project is in the field of astrophysics which is computer intensive which I like. I think the main and most important uses of the SETI@home project are to spread the experience people have of using internet-connected PCs and orientating them towards astrophysics. This is why it is worthwhile.
3 The world is intelligent. The benefits and dangers are simply that we need to respect people who have the sensitivity to understand how life works. Crude methods can't work.
