Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The SETI is the last realy and serious scientifi(K) Organisation for the extra-terrestrial intelligence research so if i can help for the research, i use seti@home.
If a intelligence live in the space, somewhere, how to know if this intelligence send messages understanding with our technology ???
They are maybe so differents in all : technologies, bodies...
So they send maybe messages with a technology unknow from us !
If the lights in the sky all over the world are realy extra-terrestrials, why they don't send a message directly to us ? They just look at us !? Many questions !
For me the best solution for send a message for another civilization is : put the message in something with powerfull Flashlights, and sounds !
Launch a shuttle in space to go for the farest distance within return, put on that (external) flash lights, infrared lights, sounds...just for maximum attract the attention in space - the best solution is maybe the more simple !! But it's very difficult to have enough money from governments for that :(
If they come, the danger is the reactions from the poeple, the poeple who believe in God and discover another things, maybe another Gods, another truths, another potential dangers !
I run SETI for help the research (it's 1 PC but it's one more) - It's maybe the wrong way to find the answer but it's the only way for the moment ;)
Wait and see...
Sorry for my english (very bad) i hope you understand all ;D
