Profile: Bill Mills

Personal background
I am 48 years old and have enjoyed helping the Seti@Home project. My profile picture is of myself, my brother Duncan and my father Fred. Duncan and I have been Seti@home users since June 1999 when the project went public. My father died just before this project got started but he would have loved it. He loved looking at the stars, reading about them and Carl Sagen's books. He also loved watching NOVA on PBS. Duncan and I are dedicating our group to his memory.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
How could ET not exist? Why are humans so unique in the universe. If it could happen in a small solar system in the outer reaches of a small galaxy it could happen elsewhere.
Yes. we should transmit a beacon.
I run Seti@home because it is cool. I would love to help discover ET.
