Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I find SETI a safe and fun form of friendly competition ... until we catch those other Canadian universities! (Then we'll just bask in our greatness.) While discovering extraterrestials would be really neat, it's not a desperate need ... there are enough weirdly interesting people here on Earth to talk to.
