| My name is Bill Long (Billy Berue). I live in the Atlanta suburbs and was introduced to Seti@home by my brother, Chip Long, the founder of our group, Team Galactic HitchHikers. I like to spend time with my beautiful lady Ann and play golf or fish when possible. My profession when employed (a real challenge lately) is selling IT Storage Solutions. Long live TGH and hopefully we won't kill the aliens when we find them!! (unless of course they attack us first like Independence Day or Mars Attacks!, then we can sic George Bush on 'em so we can all die in a blaze of glory) |

| I think Seti@Home is a cool way to use all the cycles out there that are basically not used or misused. (ie. porno and chat rooms) Hey, I'm not a hypocrite or saint in this area, I've looked at plenty of porn and chatted a few times but let's get real and get a life if you're addicted to these uses of the Internet. Anyway, if we could contact intelligent life out there, maybe they'd teach us how to quit killing and raping and warring on this planet. I don't mean to sound defeatist or cynical, but something's got to change or we'll destroy our civilization. Even though I'm competitive, I don't put competition before all else, which is the attitude that seems so prevalent in the west. It's win at all costs or you're a loser. Let's take a look inside ourselves for fulfillment and happiness and quit trying to beat each other's brains out just for bragging rights and money! |
