Personal background
Background:

I work as system engineer (M.Sc.) in a Finnish space industry company.
I've allways been interested about astrophysics and space sciences!

Interests (besides space sciences)?

Scuba diving! Check my homepage for lots of pictures about diving. My picture shows me trying to fit to a Finnish Navy emergency pressure chamber (if one would get decompression sickness after diving. In this case, I just tried to fit there for fun!).

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I interested about SET@home when I read about it from a usenet news group in the very beginning of the project. I had read a lot about the SETI project before, and since I had CPU time to give, I decided to participate.

2. I don't think that it would be very foreseeable to "catch an alien" from data packets, which my computer has calculated. But you never know... Anyway, I don't think it's impossible!

3. They definitely are out there :-)

Seriously speaking, I do believe that there is life somewhere, but I really don't know the degree of evolution, nor the level of technology they have gained.
