I've always wanted to become an astronaut, however my eye problem (I have Nystagmus) has prevented me from flying and my grades have prevented me from being a scientist. (I failed physics and calculus three times!)
So now I'm a stock broker and I read tons of science fiction.
I've always thought that I was born too early in history. It's pretty frustrating to search for other life forms when you don't have a spaceship!
I live in Seattle and have a wife who is an amazing pediatrician and a cat who sleeps a lot and a 15 month old boy who is really awesome. (and I hate kids!)
I'm a triathlete too as you can see from my picture. Confortable in the middle of the pack...
That's it!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I know ETs exist. I hope they are around now though and we don't exist too early or too late in history.
Yes, transmit a beacon so we can get invaded by giant bugs! Include TV so it will scare them away.
Great project. Cool software idea. I help where I can since I don't have money to donate.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
