Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that it is highly likely that intelligent life exists throughout the universe and I suspect that life intelligent enough to be able to achieve space travel will be discovered when it chooses to be discovered. I believe that will have had to evolve beyond petty territorality, nationalism, racial and gender bias in order to direct mental and physical resources to solving the problems of space travel. If they choose to bother with us I think that we would benefit greatly.

Should we send a beacon? we are in essence already doing so with TV, radio and radar waves. Should we send something more cogent? Doubt if we know how right now.

I would like to contribute to the discovery of other intelligent life. I would also like to meet and greet other life forms and hope I live long enough to do so.
