| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I don't know wether it exists. There's a lot of planets out there, though, and there's got to some capable of supporting life. However, there's a lot of time out there as well, and for two 'civilisations' to develop reasonably parallel (which I think is required for establishing contact) is not so likely, especially if we want it to be close to us. Shouldn't stop us from looking for it though! And that's why I run Seti@home. It'd be a waste if we can't analyse just *that* signal because the computer power wasn't there. So, I'm helping along! |
