I believe extraterrestrial life exists due to the number of Stars in the universe & Frank Drake's Formula.
I think humans should definately transmit a beacon of their own, however I would have thought that it should be from an object in space, which would cost a lot of money, so we probably ain't gonna do that.
If only the project had a wider bandwith...
If only the project had more dishes to cover more of the sky...
If only I would be allowed to build a large dish of my own...
