Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
When I first heard about SETI@Home I thought that this is the greatest idea to use the computing power that is otherwise wasted on watching the "toasters fly" on one's screen. Without wasting any time I downloaded the SETI@Home screen saver and started my contribution to the great scientific research.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
