Personal background
At the moment I'm still a student of the University for professional education of rotterdam (that's what they told me during english, we just call it HBO) and on my way to get my bachelor of science. My specialty is Technical Computer Science, it means I know a lot about architecture and organisation of computers and other computer stuff.
As I have to face the horror of unused clockcycles each day at home and at school, I've decided to do something about it: SETI!!! Up until now I've seen a positive result on the SETI treatment : no more unused clock cycles. Keep on chewing!!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life ... does it exist? I don't know, but I sure like to find it out! It could be a benefit, technology sharing or somtehing like that. But what if the specy is hostile? Well, you'll never know until you find it out, so let's speed it up a bit!

I don't think humans should transmit a special beacon, it's a waste of energy and we are already sending signals, mobile phones, radio etc. Question is, will the other interpret it right??? Let's hope they are as careful as we are and only want to listen, not just react.

Why I run SETI@home, check my background ...
