Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home?
In particular, we respect very much the enthusiasm of the SETI researchers and think this kind of enthusiasm SHOULD be promoted. This is why we decided to start running SETI@home. For us, running SETI@home might not be towards any search of ET, but a hope for everyone of us -- that's the important key -- hope. If we ever lose hope, we're finish! This makes SETI@home worthwhile -- it brings hope to all of us, no matter how small.

aThoughts about ETI
ETs... Yes we believe they are out there. But just too far for us to exactly locate them... Based on our current technologies, we would say they would find us before we would ever find them!

Well, if they're really hostile... they would have destroyed us long time ago... no no no... they shouldn't be hostile... (We believe that if some species own such advanced technologies, they should already be civilized enough that they understand the balance of the universe and will not attack other species without reasonable cause... we aren't attacking them, right?) SETI@home is also a little clue to all of us... if we ever wanted to make progress in real life, do it with patience and perserance.

It is the spirit of people who developed SETI@home that worths joining.

Yes yes, we should transmit our own signals! It's a HOPE, right?
