Hello all,
I also do alot of martial arts, Taekwondo and GKR Karate... and am looking into doing Kung fu... if the jobs allow of course :-]
I dont think today was the best day for doing this as i am not feeling mega chatty... Think i will update this another time :-]]

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think that the universe is far too big for there not to be some kind of life... however, i think with all these things, there has to be somekind of other thoughts involved.
Lets face it... the advances we have made, make the thoughts of some scientists look silly and puny, and yet at the timethey were thought of, they were ground breaking.
So think about that star trek episode where life was found, but it was based on silicone and not carbon, which are next to each other on the periodic table... who is to say that what we consider life to be is actually concieveable in todays thoughts.
I think that as we discover more of the universe we will undoubtably see more 'unbelieveable things' that tomorrow will be just 'ordinary' :-]
It may take a while though as we are still finding new things on this planet... and the rest of the galaxy... let alone in the universe, which is a lot bigger :-]
Yes I think we should transmit beacons for others to find... but i would need a lot of time to think about that one if given the decision. I am sure that we, as a planet, give off loads of signals anyway... :-]
