Personal background
Hi!
.
As most of you - I can't belive that we are the only ones in this universe.
But the universe is so many things - so big - so wast - so unexplored.
Science is the thing that keeps me ticking. I'm your neighbourhood "mad-scientist" that will experiment with everything possible to the impossible.
Everything is possible until proven impossible - that is!
.
In my spare time I'm a Radio-amateur. What's a Radio-Amateur? Well - it's in the name "radio" and "amateur" and we're kinda both, we're amateur's experimenting with radio or exploring the possibillities within. I love to fiddle around with electronics, test-equipment - heck....I even throw in a little programming here and there. Most of all I love LIFE. My other hobbies include: Drawing, Animation, Music-creation, photography, human-psychology, animals, and general science.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It's only logical to join the Seti project and help out.
Why? Because we're better suited to find life if we look together. Will we find life? Probably - or maybe life will find us? If I where E.T. Would I contact a "perhaps" lesser civilisation than "E.T."? No - because it could destroy it's infastructure & life & culture completely. Just imagine what would happen if you told the masses of "belivers" that something they belive exist doesn't exist or vice versa, it would bring their feeling of security to a total caos. Therefor we must be careful with our curiosity and consider the effect it would have on our world. That doesn't mean we should stop searching. I belive one of the most amazing things in the universe is LIFE itself. Every day I think how strange it is that I am here. I am self-aware, now that's the biggest puzzle to me. Will I be self aware when I die? Will I be self aware trough my children or through my family? Impossible (for now) to answer that - tell me if you know - but it must be scientifically provable - not just a dose of "faith" and "belief", and if you don't know the answer to that - keep searching - that's what the Seti project is all about to me - finding out.
