Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It would be strange if life only existed on this planet.
It`s just a matter of time until we get contact.
The possible benefits are unendless, the dangers could be that we were
swallowed by a culture far more advanced than ours(fx. made slaves)
One beacon would be like a drop in the ocean! Send many and different ones.
I don`t know about the content, as far as I remember a message has already
been sent.
My reason for running SETI is that I think it`s a good idea, I want to help
in my small way.
