Personal background |
I am a medical doctor from India. I have always been fascinated by Physical sciences, and Geology. I would like to explore the world someday. One of the reasons to do so is that I want to look at the night sky from the different parts of the earth to see how it differs. I dont know the different constellations etc., but I find looking at a starry sky immensely peaceful. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Of course it does. If it doesnt, the universe is an awful waste of space. Will we ever find it is a tough one to answer, but I hope some intelligent life on the earth will eventually make contact with some life from elsewhere. I dont see any immediate benefit or harm from the discovery, just the reassurance that God made the Universe with a sane mind.
It is just because of the faith that we are not alone here, and with the hope that we may be the "intelligent life" to make first contact with extra-terrestrial life that I run the SETI@Home. Its not been long since I started running it, but I hope mine is a useful contribution. |
