I'm a systems engineer contractor for the U.S. Army where we apply the concept of distributed systems on to today's digital battlefield. I am married, and I have 2 kids who help me move from one insane world to another on a daily basis. I absolutely love being a family guy, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm a bit of a geek - been a part of SETI@Home since near inception because the idea of using millions of regular home computers to scan all of 33% of the sky for other lifesigns is a very far-fetched idea, but then, so was the concept of heavier-than-air flight, a world wide network of networks, and global peace. Hey, we can handle two things at once, right?
