Personal background
Using computers to create great gobs of useless documents detailing the most trivial of "hypothetical" reality is a waste of the computing power available, hence I only work to live, and humbly submit what meager cpu cycles I can to help the "Wheel" turn, as it did before and as it will again....

An engineering degree and job, (big whoop, I can look up things and use them) and yet I long to escape the cubicle. Better to be a swiss postal worker with no education than a cog in the machine.

SETI is such a cool concept, and I really have to switch to decaf........
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course there is life elsewhere (with 10^x stars X x planets/star, etc.. etc... etc..), at what stage of developement, at what technical/spiritual level is unknown. Will SETI find a signal?? Will our early TV/radio signals be received and understood/identified?
