I am a 25 yr old college graduate from Groves, TX who is eagerly awaiting confirmation that life can exist somewhere else than just here. I enjoy reading Sci-Fi and Fantasy novels and am currently engaged to a beautiful young lady I met at college. I have a AAS from Lamar State College in Port Arthur, TX in Computer Information Systems: Cisco Networking Engineering and a certificate of completion in Cisco Networking Administration.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe that life is out there and I hope we do discover them soon. I feel that it would solve the mysteries of life and quite possibly help cure the diseases of today.
I feel we should transmit a beacon for others to find because we assume that the old radio and TV transmissions will make it out that far to reach other lifeforms, but that is not always true. We need to send out the microwaves or other types of radio transmissions so others in the galaxy and beyond can know that there is life here in the desolent solar system.
I run SETI@home because I see it as a worth while effort to find life.
