Profile: Rev. W

Personal background
I am from Seattle, running this bad boy on 17 different machines - 4 on Windows XP, 2 on Red Hat Linux 9.0, 1 on Fedora Linux Project Core 1, 8 on Windows 2000 Professional, one on Windows NT 4.0 Server and one on Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I am putting as many of my own personal resources as possible and realistic towards this search, because I am hopeful that one day someone will find another of my kind somewhere in the universe.

According to some I always have to be different. This is most likely an accurate statement. Fortunately, throughout my 34 years (and counting) on this planet, that has not been a difficult task to accomplish.

My interests are varied ... I'm a musician, and I also enjoy playing video games, watching selected shows on TV, and hanging out with friends. I'm a huge sports fan and I support all the Seattle teams (no matter how difficult that may be at times!).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I can't really think of too many better uses for distributed computing. It's absolute ignorance, foolishness, and stupid human arrogance to think that we are the only sentient beings in the entire universe - not being a scientist, I want to do whatever I can to accelerate the process of finding intelligent life elsewhere. It's certainly at a premium on this planet!
