Personal background
At 25, I have come to realize several things:

I know about as much about life, as NASA has charted space. (not very much)
I don't like Lima beans or Brussel Sprouts.
I enjoy computers, the good and the bad.
God Rules!
I love people.
The more time I spend on the highways, the less I enjoy driving.
More time should be spent on windy back-roads.
Cycling rocks!
Rock Climbing is very symbolic to me.
Well kids....that's all for now.....
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it would be quite arrogant of us to think that we are the only sentient life forms in this vast universe. I would feel like the only child in a vast sandbox, with no other kids to boast and share experiences with. Kind of a lonely thought huh?
There may be dangers associated with dicovering new live, or being discovered by new life, but new discovery always brings the potential for both wonder and danger.
I think we should send a beacon. Where? No idea. I imagine it would have to be pretty powerful, as well as broad, to have any chance of hitting something. Now the fun part, what do we send? The Simpsons maybe? We might have to work on that.
I run SETI@home to assist the program in the study and dicovery of a vast and unknown universe that we live in. Whether we find anything or not, the important thing to me is, we tried!
