Hi ,
I am Patrick, 42 yrs old. I live in The Netherlands and I work as an IT instructor for the worlds largest computer company. That means I travel a lot. I teach mainly in The Netherlands , but also in Sweden , England , the US and any other place where I am needed. Hobbies? Yes , a couple : music , I play in 2 bands ,a country band and an r&b band. I also record demo´s for other musicians. My second hobby is (digital) photography , but most time I spend with my 8 yr old son. He is into music too , he plays drums and is very interested in computers. Since I was his age I was very interested in SF. My favorite tv series was , and still is , Star Trek (too bad they still don´t show ENTERPRISE here). That also explains my participation in the SETI@home project. I hope my contribution will be a valuable. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Of course extraterrestrial life exists. Discovery will start within this decade. It will all start with the discovery of water and life on Mars. As soon as that will be proven the rest will follow. Benefits : hopefully people will focus on life instead of killing and destroying themselves. Danger : none , I mean can it be worse than it is now here on earth? Yes , transmit a beacon sending out messages of peace , pure informational messages. No messages saying everyone is welcome , but messages with info on what´s happening here so aliens can decide for themselves if they would visit us.
I was interested in alien life and SF since I was a little boy , so that´s why I run SETI@home , and my expectations are high!!! |
